Water & Wastewater Solutions New Zealand & Pacific Islands

The new three waters contract is for:

  • $140 million of upgrades
  • over 8 years
  • 6 water treatment plants,
  • And 3 wastewater treatment plants

McConnell Dowell has been working with Dunedin City Council to successfully deliver three waters upgrades for many years. We built the Mt Grand Water Treatment Plant, many years ago in 1977,  and the Tahuna Outfall in 2009. We are now using that experience to develop solutions to further upgrade the city's infrastructure for the coming years.

We established a permanent presence in the region in 2022 to service a growing scope of work and have three projects underway at present.

One is in the design stage, another in construction and we have been appointed to a panel that will deliver work to upgrade the city’s water and wastewater treatment plants over the next 8 years.
