The MCD-914 Jack-up Barge

Introducing the MCD-914, McConnell Dowell’s cutting-edge, self-elevating marine construction platform. Purpose-built to deliver unmatched productivity in jetty and nearshore facility development.

Designed by GustoMSC and added to our fleet in 2022, the MCD-914 operates in waters up to 30 metres deep, featuring a powerful 300-tonne pedestal crane and an automated jacking system for fast, stable elevation.

 

 

 


The Santa Fe Jack-up Barge

 The Santa Fe has been the centrepiece of McConnell Dowell’s marine fleet since 1993—a versatile, self-elevating platform built for nearshore marine construction.

Designed by GustoMSC, it offers flexible crane configurations (crawler or tower), a helipad, and 12m leg extensions to adapt to a wide range of project needs.

Fully refurbished in 2021 and in class until 2027, the Santa Fe operates in waters up to 45 metres deep (subject to seabed and metocean conditions).

New facilities include:

  • Two modern offices
  • Emergency accommodation for 8
  • Male and female toilets, showers, and mess

Canti-Traveller

McConnell Dowell's 'Canti-Traveller' is a purpose-built temporary mobile platform that facilitates fast, safe, low-impact construction of piled marine jetties and piers.

The innovative system, designed and fabricated by our in-house team, can drive vertical and raker piles with speed and accuracy.  Fastest in a straight run, it also has a system for changing direction.
