McConnell Dowell wins the Palembang Waste Water Treatment Plant Project

McConnell Dowell is pleased to announce the award of the Palembang Waste Water Treatment Plant Project in Indonesia. The project will be delivered in partnership with PT PP Persero (PT PP).

The Palembang Waste Water Treatment Plant Project is co-financed by the Australian Government and the Government of Indonesia and will greatly improve the standard of vital water infrastructure and living conditions for many residents in Palembang. The project represents a significant undertaking and forms a “major part” of a wider program to improve the overall sustainability and resilience of essential water assets in Indonesia.

The project is located in the city of Palembang on the island of Sumatra and consists of a 20 MLD per day Bio trickling Treatment Plant. The scope of the project includes the construction of the concrete structures, treatment facilities and system, tanks, pumping station and general infrastructure works for the new Wastewater Treatment Plant.
