Project award – vopak banyan berths 6 & 7, jurong island – Singapore

The Company is pleased to advise that Vopak Asia Pte Ltd has awarded McConnell Dowell South East Asia Pte Ltd the design & construction contract of berths 6 & 7 at their Banyan facility, Jurong Island.

The scope of work replicates the existing finger jetty, and comprises:

  • 200m access roadway and 3 tiered piperack
  • 50m long x 43m wide twin Jetty
  • 6 mooring dolphins
  • 4 breasting dolphins
  • Pump platform

The new jetties have been designed to accommodate LNG carrier vessels, and up to 80,000DWT.

This project is an extension to berths 1 to 5, previously built by McConnell Dowell for Vopak, and highlights our commitment to maintaining long-term relationships with our client and working collaboratively with Vopak to provide the right financial solution to our Client’s operational and project requirements.

Design works have commenced and construction is forecast to complete by July 2012.
