Thai Fabrication Open

Macdow\'s new fabrication facility adds even greater value to every phase of your project program

We are pleased to announce the opening of McConnell Dowell Constructors Thai Ltd’s new fabrication facility in Maptaphut, Thailand.

The new facility occupies a 77,000m2 site situated 40 minutes from both Laem Chabang and Sattahip International Ports and adjacent to the busy industrial estates of the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand.

The first phase of the development, consisting of a 5,000m2 workshop including two 20 m fabrication bays began operating on 28 September 2008. The bays are currently serviced by a 5 t crane and a 10 t crane with the expectation of upsizing cranage capacity to 30 t as orders increase in size.

The current workload includes contracts for 600 t of structural steel; thickener and floatcells for a gold mining client and miscellaneous steel.

We are looking forward to a bright future for this new investment.
