SCOTT CUMMINS - CEO
Over his 30 year career Scott has held project and functional management and leadership roles in marine, oil & gas production, construction engineering, fabrication, business development and regional operations. His international experience is extensive having held both regional and corporate leadership roles in major locations across the world, including Singapore, Indonesia, Dubai and London
Prior to joining McConnell Dowell as Chief Executive Officer he held the position of Senior Vice President of Commercial at McDermott International, a major International provider of integrated engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) services for offshore and subsea field developments worldwide. His previous roles have included Executive Vice President Offshore and Senior Vice President and General Manager of Asia Pacific also with McDermott International.
Scott is an Australian national with a Bachelor of Engineering from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia and an MBA from Strathclyde University, Glasgow, UK.
JIM FRITH - MD - AUSTRALIA
Jim joined McConnell Dowell as a Project Manager over 25 years ago, during this time he has developed an impressive track record across several operational business unit, and in numerous locations throughout Australia, South East Asia and the Middle East.
Over the last 6 years Jim has led 3 separate businesses and in each case achieved a turnaround in culture, performance and customer trust. Throughout his career with McConnell Dowell, he has proven his ability to collaborate with customers to understand and achieve business solutions to the satisfaction of all parties.
He has a strong commitment to the continuous improvement of quality, safety and environmental management throughout the company and is highly regarded for his leadership in these areas.
FRASER WYLLIE - MD - NEW ZEALAND & PACIFIC ISLANDS
Fraser is the Managing Director of McConnell Dowell’s New Zealand and Pacific business. With more than 30 years’ experience in the construction industry in New Zealand and overseas, most recently as General Manager Projects at Downer, he has broad experience in infrastructure construction and, and a strong track record of overseeing both quality project execution and sustained commercial growth.
Fraser has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Auckland and a Master of Business Administration from Massey University. He has had a distinguished career in the New Zealand engineering and construction sector, where his strong leadership was recognised early and he led projects in New Zealand and South East Asia. After rising through the ranks to the position of Regional Manager, Fraser moved to the parent company to set up and run the Pipeworks business unit.
STEPHEN ROGERS - MD - SOUTH EAST ASIA
Stephen is the Managing Director of McConnell Dowell’s South East Asia Business Unit. He is an experienced and accomplished executive, with strong knowledge of the South East Asia Region and over 20 years’ experience in multi-national EPC businesses, primarily in the Oil and Gas sector.
Stephen comes to McConnell Dowell from Chicago Bridge & Iron (CB&I), where his most recent role was as Vice President Asia Pacific & Australia, based in Singapore, where he led a regional management team operating across China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, India and Australia. He is an outcome focused leader with a collaborative approach to strategy and solution development.
He has a strong customer focus and a strong commitment to ensuring the business has the right resources, talent and capability to deliver.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) degree from The University of Western Australia and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
DARYL YOUNG - MD - BUILT ENVIRONS
Daryl has over 30 years’ experience in both national and international construction business, Daryl’s expertise ranges from infrastructure through to power and water treatment plants. Charged with developing a Power and Water Sector Business for Baulderstone, Daryl has led successful tender teams, built positive relationships and successfully resourced projects in excess of $1.5 Billion in the past five years.
Daryl is a positive and engaging leader who enjoys building business that enables him to create teams that deliver on an inspiring vision. Personally gregarious and socially outgoing, he enjoys roles that allow him to understand and interpret the needs of customers and stakeholders, and to build the organisational capabilities to fulfil these. A natural public speaker and spokesperson, Daryl is a skilled communicator who can become very passionate about his message.
SAMANTHA JOHNSON - EGM HSEQ
Samantha has over 25 years’ experience in risk management, insurance and workplace risk of which 16 years has been in the global engineering and construction industry.
Samantha has been involved with the risk assessment and transfer of risk for the MCD group since starting with the company in April 2000 in the risk/insurance area, including workplace injury management and workers compensation. In 2010 Samantha managed the successful integration of the McConnell Dowell and Aveng insurance regimes resulting in a globalised insurance program for the Aveng group. Following this Samantha was appointed as the Aveng Group Insurance Manager and is now the Executive General Manager – Health, Safety, Environment and Quality.

JOHN HEARST - EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - TECHNICAL & OPERATIONS
John has been part of the McConnell Dowell group for over 25 years and has held various project based and senior management roles throughout the company’s Australian and international operations.
John is a Director of McConnell Dowell Corporation Limited and assumed his current position of Executive Director – Technical and Operations General Manager Overseas Operations in September 2009.
In this role, John is accountable for the Group’s operations throughout New Zealand, the Pacific Rim, South East Asia and the Middle East. He is a member of the Institute of Engineers in Australia and the UK, and holds a Civil Engineering degree and Master of Science (Maritime Civil Engineering) from Manchester University.
THOMAS DOCKRAY - Executive General Manager New Business & Strategy
Thomas is a civil engineer with extensive experience in general business management, strategic planning and execution, business development, EPC project delivery and O&M management. Thomas brings a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise in the Mining & Minerals, Oil & Gas, Infrastructure and Energy sectors. Thomas has held senior positions within Clough and CIMIC (formerly known as Sedgman and Leighton). He oversaw significant growth, transformation and expansion of various business units. He has extensive global experience across multiple sectors and has been actively involved in the development and execution of projects throughout Australia, Asia, EMEA and the Americas. Strong ability to assess growth opportunities and executed global M&A expansion strategies. He has lead operational performance programs to improve productivity and financial performance.
Thomas graduated with honours in Civil Engineering from the University of Queensland and holds Masters in Management (International Business) and Project Management. Thomas is a Fellow of Engineers Australia and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
ASHLEY WIKMAN - EGM COMMERCIAL
Prior to joining McConnell Dowell, Ashley held senior leadership positions with multi-national businesses over the past 8 years. His last position was with Lend Lease Engineering as Executive General Manager – Commercial & Risk.
Ashley holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from Melbourne University. He brings to the role a wealth of commercial expertise that include contract conversion and negotiation; project evaluation and reporting; risk analysis and management; joint venture and consortium arrangements; change management; investigation, analysis and resolution of problem projects; financial/cost management performance and reporting; upstream and downstream procurement; and resolution of claims and disputes.
DALE MORRISON - CFO
Dale Morrison has been CFO of McConnell Dowell since 2002. Over the last 20 years Dale has progressed through a number of accounting positions in various locations in McConnell Dowell. He relocated to the Melbourne head office in 1998 originally as Finance Manager – South East Asia.
Dale is a Director of McConnell Dowell Corporation Ltd and 25 group subsidiary companies in Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia and the Middle East. Dale is also a member of the Audit Committee and manages the day-to-day finance function for the group and is responsible to maintain relationships with key external stakeholders eg bankers, insurers and other parties. Part of the role is to ensure management and shareholders have accurate and timely financial information and to co-ordinate the external annual audit. Dale also manages IT and systems development and manages our tax and corporate compliance.
Dale’s background is as a qualified accountant (CA) with a BCom out of Auckland University. His work experience started at BTR’s Head office in London where he worked for three years before returning to New Zealand in early 1988 to start work at McConnell Dowell in Auckland, New Zealand.
STEVE COLLETT - EGM HUMAN RESOURCES
Steve is a Human Resources professional with over 20 years’ experience in a range of sectors and geographic locations, including Australia, South East Asia and Latin America.
Steve joined the McConnell Dowell group in April 2016, prior to this he was Vice President Human Resources, Australia Pacific Indonesia for Orica Ltd, an organisation he worked with for over 10 years. Throughout his career Steve has held senior executive roles in general HR management, training and organisational development, organisational restructuring, and industrial relations management. He has a Honours degree in Economics from the University of Western Australia.
Lisa Stankiewicz - Group General Counsel
Lisa is a senior construction lawyer who has spent the past 13 years working in private practice and in-house for tier one construction contractors. Prior to joining McConnell Dowell, Lisa held the roles of Regional Legal Counsel and Regional Executive for Multiplex and Senior Project Lawyer for the Thiess Degremont Joint Venture and AquaSure on the $3.5b Victorian Desalination Project.
During her time in private practice at Clayton Utz in Melbourne and at Norton Rose LLP in London, Lisa worked in transactional and contentious practices across a diverse range of projects in the building, gas, power, desalination, wind and PPP/PFI sectors in Australia, the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
JOHN MEGGITT - RISK & ADVISORY
John is a senior commercial and legal executive with over 20 years’ management experience across multiple disciplines in public sector and large private sector organisations, including ASX listed companies.
He is a specialist at providing independent strategic advice to Boards, CEOs, leadership teams and business units on commercial and corporate matters, corporate governance, risk management, structuring deals, dispute resolution and business planning.
John has played key roles in corporate restructures and business transformation initiatives including integration of teams and corporate functions under different reporting structures and accountability models.
