The Toka Tindung Gold Mine Construction Project, in North Sulawesi, Indonesia, has reached 2,000,000 Man Hours LTI Free.
At its peak, the project had 1,100 employees on site, who were undertaking civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation activities in a congested work site with some live operations.
Since the outset, the site management team has promoted a strong safety culture with strict adherence to the MacDow Golden Rules; regular client and contractor planning and safety audits; a Weekly Employee Safety Award Program recognising safe work practices and behaviours; and an overall safety commitment from the management team and employees to work together safely at all times.
Our client’s production milestones continue to be met, with first Gold Pour successfully achieved on the 1st April, 2011.
Congratulations to the entire project team for achieving this outstanding safety result.
