Christchurch City Council awarded McConnell Dowell Constructors Ltd, in joint venture with Fletcher Construction, a contract to carry out post-earthquake reconstruction works in the Avonside / Dallington / Burwood area in Christchurch.

The reconstruction works include the repair of storm water, sewer and water pipelines as well as roads, footpaths and berms. It is expected that there will be repairs to other underground services as well as storm water, sewer and water connections to houses.

This is the largest of the reconstruction works packages awarded by the Council and MacDow is very pleased to be providing a reconstruction service to our valued client, for which McConnell Dowell has built both the Christchurch Ocean Outfall and more recently the Christchurch Major Sewer Upgrade Project.
