McConnell Dowell’s Northern Region covers Queensland and Papua New Guinea.
With abundant natural resources such as coal and LNG, much of the company’s work stems from the resources sector. This includes mineral export wharves and gas pipelines.
Due to the sustained drought in Queensland throughout the 2000s, the company was involved in many major water infrastructure projects including large diameter cross country water pipelines and dam upgrades. In Queensland, the company is also involved in the transport sector, such as designing and constructing the Gold Coast Rapid Transit Project.
